The danish lyric soprano ​​​​​​​Lona Mohr Villadsen was a finalist in the opera singing competition "Luigi Zanuccoli" in May 2017, in Cengio in Lirica, Italy, April 2016 and in The International Voice Competition Alexandru Farcas, Romania in May 2014 where she was also awarded a Special prize from the State Philharmonic of Arad. 

In April 2018 Lona had her debut as Desdemona in Otello in Italy, in June her debut as Mimì in La Bohème in Italy and in the summer 2018 her german debut as Micaëla in Carmen with Opera Classica Europa and in the fall 2018 her debut with The Danish National Opera also as Micaëla in Carmen.

Growing up in the countryside of Jutland, Lona Mohr Villadsen took her first singing lessons in Århus, Denmark. However Lona is a graduate of the advanced postgraduate program (soloist class) at The Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Odense as well as from Stockholm Opera Studio and the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen. From the latter she has a diploma (corresponding to a master's degree).

Lona Mohr Villadsen has sung roles such as MimÌ, La Bohème (Cartoline Pucciniane, Teatro del Giglio, Italy),
Cio-Cio-san, Madama Butterfly ( Skånska Operan, Sweden 2017), Lucy, The Telephone ( Wasahof, Stockholm 2017) Gretel, Hänsel und Gretel (Norwegian Opera, Oslo 2016) Estelle, The Stronger by Hugo Weisgall (Den Fynske Opera, Denmark), Violetta, La Traviata (Skånska Operan, Sweden), Donna Elvira, Don Giovanni (Den Fynske Opera, Denmark), Laurette, Le docteur miracle och Gontran, Une education manquée (Den rullende Opera, Denmark) Micaëla, Carmen (Operakompagniet, Denmark). In 2011 she sang Konstanze in the world premiere of Inger Wikström´s opera Evigt din Mozart (Forever your Mozart) at Confidenden in Stockholm, Sweden.

Besides being an active lied singer, her concert repertoire includes Sieben frühe Lieder, Berg, Mirabai songs, Harbison, Den kinesiske fløjte, Schierbeck, 4 Lieder op. 27, Strauss and also church music like Christus am Ölberge, Beethoven, Missa brevis och Requiem, Mozart, Messiah, Händel, St. John´s Passion, Bach and Nelson Mass, Haydn.
